Vivo's upcoming V29 series will soon break cover to compete in the mid-range smartphone market, expectedly in May. As per recent reports, the lineup will include the Vivo V29 Lite, aimed at budget-conscious users, and will be the most affordable option in the series. Google Play Console indexed it as a supported device pre-launch, unveiling a few key specs.

Listed under model number V2244, the newcomer V29 lite boasts a powerful Snapdragon 695 chip clocked at 2.2GHz with an integrated Adreno 619 GPU. The phone will likely outperform multiple rival devices in its price segment. Additionally, it will default to an Android 13 OS, with the most current trim of Color OS skin.

Externally, the device's screen will map 1080p equivalent pixels at FHD+ resolution. The display will be sizable, and melting inside will be a slightly intrusive drop-notch for the selfie camera. Under the visor, a capacious 5000mAh battery will energize the hardware.

When it runs out of juice, a 44W power plug will swiftly bump the phone's battery. While stats on the camera setup remain a mystery, GPC confirms there will be at least three sensors on the phone's back. Details listed in the document reveal nothing else about the device. V29 Lite's model number, V2244, is identical to the chain's Y-series phone dubbed Vivo Y78. They are essentially the same devices, though, with different monikers to go official in the Chinese market and globally. Allegedly, V29 Lite's debut will parallel with other sibling handsets in the same lineup.
