Vivo S15e is an Upcoming Selfie-focused Phone; Official Launch Timeline and Previews

The flagship X80 series isn’t the only lineup Vivo has in store for us this month. It’s slated to debut on April 25 in China. And on the same day, Vivo will unveil the first edition of the Vivo S15 series, the Vivo S15e. Official teasers and promos are already up on Vivo China’s website. Here’s what they tell us.

The official landing page contains the launch timeline for the upcoming Vivo S15e. Plus, it includes previews and color options for the phone. We’re looking at a redesigned layout for the front and back cameras. Its predecessor to this series had a clean, minimalist camera plate. But the S15e rocks an accented double-layered housing. It contains three cameras divided between two circular cutouts.

The wide wedge-shaped notch on the front is gone. So is the extra ultra-wide selfie camera. The new drop notch has a single front-facing shooter. You can choose from blue, black, and peach colors. While the blue and black have your standard monotone satin finishes, the peach edition and its wavy texture have more personality.

The Chinese Manufacturer has upgraded the charging power on the Vivo S new model from 44W to 66W. The processor is Samsung’s Exynos 1080, and you get 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage. And a 4605 mAh battery powers everything. Android 12 x OriginOS runs on the Vivo S15e out of the box.

The screen is a 6.44” 1080P AMOLED with an in-display fingerprint reader, as on the Vivo V23e. Lastly, we’re looking at a 16MP camera on the back. And a cluster of 50MP wide + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP shooters on the back. We’ll learn the pricing when the phone is officially announced later this month.
