After the triumph of Tecno’s Camon 19 series, the Chinese firm has diverged its focus to the budget segment. Tecno is planning a worldwide debut of the Spark 9T very soon to achieve the target. June 2022 marked the handset’s African launch starting in Nigeria. The Spark 9T is now spotted at an Indian retailer site, hinting towards an Asian rollout.

The Tecno Spark 9T has been listed by an Indian e-commerce site recently, Implying a debut in India first before moving on to other south Asian countries. Per the microsite, the global and Nigerian variants seem to have a fair share of differences. The images uploaded by the seller have a strong resemblance to the previous Spark 8 pro.

A glossy protrusion blankets the top rear portion while vertical stripes running down the back cover the remaining part. The rear shell also accommodates the Spark 9T’s 50MP triple rear camera layout.

Flipping the new Tecno Spark mobile over uncovers its 6.6’’ Full HD+ IPS panel that houses the front shooter in a dot drop notch. Under the hood resides a MediaTek Helio G35 processor coupled with 4GB RAM, which can be virtually expanded up to 7GB. However, the memory extension feature might be delivered through an OTA update.

A 5,000 mAh power unit can juice up the Spark 9T at a moderately fast pace using the 18W Flash charger provided inside the box. A power key, doubling as the fingerprint scanner and volume rockers at the same edge round off the hardware.

Other pieces of the Tecno Spark 9T’s puzzle are still missing, but the Indian variant is rumored to be priced below $120 or PKR 29,000 while the Nigerian variant with better design and specs costs around GN 78,300 (~Rs. 42,000). We'll have to wait and see which one of these will finally make it to Pakistan.
