Tecno Spark 9 Pro Goes Official with 32MP Selfies, 90Hz Display, and 5,000 mAh Battery

Tecno just unveiled a new entry-level Spark phone. The Spark 9 Pro features entry-level specs, a powerful Camera, a strikingly new design, and a long-lasting battery. The sequel to the last year's Tecno Spark 8 Pro has already been announced in some African countries. We’ll take a quick look at what the new smartphone has to offer.


We're looking at a 6.6" IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution. The refresh rate on the fully specced out Tecno Spark 9 Pro primes at a silky 90Hz. The camera embedded in the drop notch on the front is 32MP. On the back, The camera system is made of a 48MP f/1.79 lens and two low-res 2MP sensors to pad the count. The phone can shoot in Ultra Clear, HDR, 2K video, and Super Night modes.

Everything on the Spark 9 Pro runs on a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 18W charging over a USB-C port. You get 4GB/6GB of multitasking memory and 128 gigs of expandable storage. Plus, Android 12 with HiOS 8.6 on top powers the Tecno Spark 9 Pro.


MediaTek's Helio G85 handles all the processing on the new Spark pro, the overall configuration isn't the most high-tech, but a good fit for a budget-oriented model. The handset is said to provide a good gaming experience, especially if you toggle on the 'Game Mode'.

You can pick the Tecno Spark 7 Pro in Holy White, Quantum Black, Burano Blue, and Hacker Storm finishes. The availability and pricing details have yet to surface, however, Tecno phones prices are always on the lower side. The handset will reach the store shelves of African markets first, before making its way to the Asia countries.
