Two of Tecno’s popular value phones just underwent price changes in Pakistan. The Tecno Pova is now available for a discount, while the price of the Spark 7 Pro went up. The Spark model is the more recent of the two; Pova offers excellent performance for an entry-level price. We’re going to take a look at both.

The Tecno Pova had been retailing for Rs. 24,999, but it now starts from only Rs. 23,500 — making for a discount of Rs. 1,499. Tecno Spark 7 Pro, on other hand, launched at Rs. 20,999. It’s been marked up to Rs. 21,999 as the Limited time Launch discount of 1,000 rupees ends.

Tecno Pova

Since the Pova is built for performance on a budget, it features a massive 6000 mAh battery to support the hardware. The battery is powered by 18W flash charging. Tecno promises up to 20 hours of uninterrupted gaming on a single charge.

This cell drives the MediaTek Helio G80 and 6GB of memory at the heart of Tecno Pova. You get 128GB of storage that can be expanded further with a microSD card. The Pova also has a cooling system built into the hardware. Plus, an improved signal solution keeps the connectivity stable.

The display is a 6.8” IPS LCD that delivers a 720P resolution in traditional Tecno fashion. It has a hole punched through it for an 8MP selfie camera. Four cameras, arranged in a cluster on the back, feature a 13MP sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth-mapping sensor.

Tecno Spark 7 Pro

Tecno Spark 7 Pro has the same Helio G80 processor, except it runs on a 5000 mAh battery without any fast charging support. Its memory maxes out at 4GB, but storage goes up to 128GB, also expandable via a microSD card.

The display here is yet another 720P IPS LCD, but it can refresh at 90Hz. Spark 7 Pro is also slightly more compact at 6.6” but still uses a hole-punch cutout for its front camera. We’re looking at an 8MP camera for selfies and a 48MP rear-facing lens, joined by no less than three unspecified sensors to pad the count.

The Spark 7 Pro build, available in Alps Blue, Spruce Green, Magnet Black, and Neon Dream, also includes a rear-facing thumbprint reader and a micro-USB 2.0 port. The increased price is in effect from today as the limited-time launch offer ends.
