Tecno Phantom V FOLD Certified by Bluetooth SIG; First-ever Tecno Foldable in Works

Tecno is stepping up its game. A few days ago, the brand unleashed a beast of a flagship phone from its Phantom X family. Phantom X2 Pro, as they call it, is now officially their first-ever proper flagship device. It carries a retractable lens primary camera  —  an exclusive Tecno innovation that takes portrait shots to another level.

Tecno's strides in Innovation are far from over. A new Bluetooth SIG certification has surfaced online, addressing a Tecno model number AD10. The document reveals that this code belongs to a product dubbed Tecno Phantom V Fold

That's right! Tecno is at work, R&D-ing their first-generation foldable smartphone to compete with the likes of Galaxy Z Folds and Oppo Find N Folds. With Tecno's reputation in the affordable market, you can rest assured that the end product will not dry your pockets.

The Phantom V Fold's appearance on Bluetooth SIG leads to a single conclusion; the launch is imminent. And with some luck, the phone is bound to become the world's cheapest foldable phone at an affordable Tecno mobile price. However, we must wait for more certifications & details before making a factual claim.

The document reveals that Phantom V Fold has BT 5.3 Technology. Bluetooth SIG certification is one of the earliest sightings of the model. So there isn't much out there in the province of its specs. We'll report on more developments as soon as they appear online.

Phantom X2 Series, on the other hand, plans to knockout out the competition in multiple markets worldwide. Tecno spans and serves over 70 countries, including their biggest revenue markets; Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, etc. The X2 line will land in those regions first, eventually leading to a release in Pakistan. Though V Fold fits the cheapest foldable description, it would still be pricey, costing way more than the Tecno Camon 19 Pro Price in the local market.
