Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Finally Gets a Launch Date, Arrives Next Thursday

We now have the official schedule for Galaxy S26 FE’s launch. They just made an announcement for the Galaxy Event 2026 next week, on August 27th, which is apparently going to be livestreamed. You can watch the whole event on their YouTube channel at 12 PM UTC.

They didn’t say which phone or gadget is about to show up at said event. But it’s pretty obvious the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is among them. We are right in the window when Fan Edition handsets are usually launched. So you can bet that Galaxy S26 FE will be unveiled on August 27th.

We’ve seen the newcomer’s entire spec sheet slip out more than once. But there has been a new development. EPREL certification was recently given to the phone in Europe. They gave the FE some official quality ratings under the EPREL label. We also found some info about the battery.

Rumor has it that the Samsung new Galaxy model is going to repeat the 4900mAh cell. EPREL rated the newcomer’s endurance at 50 hours. Apparently, this battery will have 1200 cycles before its actual health is depleted below 80%, which is not too shabby on its own, but many brands have moved past that standard.

Anyway, the certification also made it clear that the newcomer has an IP68 rating, so it’s just as durable as the basic S26. The handset’s drop safety rating is A class. But its repairability was apparently rated C class. Yet it seems there was no effect on the phone’s general rating, which is all the way up at level A.

There was a promo leak before today’s announcement, by the way. We found that the Galaxy S26 FE has a metal frame only 7.4mm thin. There’s a 12MP ultrawide sensor on the back. We also have a 50MP main outsole. Of course, there’s also an 8MP telephoto.

The screen is probably a 6.7” Dynamic AMOLED 1080p 120Hz. And the leaks said it has GG Victus+ protection. They want to put an Exynos 2500 on the S26 FE. The charging speed could be 45W again. This newcomer’s going to launch next week. So keep watching the news.
