Samsung Galaxy M52 5G was launched in Pakistan yesterday. It was a silent launch with only a few social media posts announcing the arrival of the latest Galaxy M-series phone. The phone features a mid-range 5G chip, buttery smooth display, and a capable camera system, but nothing unexpected for its price point.

The engine inside the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G (although Samsung is ever reluctant to outright name their chips.) It has an efficient 6nm node and four high-performance 2.4GHz cores.

Combined with 6GB of memory, the Galaxy M52 5G can breeze through multitasking and heavy gaming. Game Booster feature intelligently manages temperature, memory, and battery. And the experience is made immersive thanks to the Dolby Atmos stereo support.

Everything runs on a powerful 5000 mAh battery and 25W Fast Charging. The 128GB of onboard storage is expandable up to a terabyte.  Plus, Samsung has added 4GB of extra virtual RAM to keep performance consistent. OneUI built on Android 11 powers the Samsung M52 5G.

The Galaxy M52 is also more sleek and lightweight than ever, something quite visible in the latest 5G Samsung mobiles. At 7.4mm in dimensions and 173g of weight, this Galaxy is perhaps the most featherweight Samsung phone on the market right now. Its shell sports a textured finish in white, black, and bright blue shades. Samsung has merged the fingerprint sensor with the power button for convenient security.

We’re looking at a 6.7” Infinity-O, SuperAMOLED screen that refreshes at a responsive 120Hz and peaks at 1080P in resolution. The small, almost even bezel gives it a premium look. Also embedded in the M52 display is a 32MP front camera.

Three lenses and an LED flash make up the camera cluster on the back. It’s an array of 64MP f/1.8 wide, 5MP macro, and 12MP ultrawide cameras. But no advanced telephoto zooming or stabilization is offered. Samsung Galaxy M52 5G starts from PKR 82,999.
