Samsung Galaxy A57 & A37 Launch Possibly Delayed; Key Specs Leaked Once Again

Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 devices were reported to launch early in the first half of February. We heard that claim several times last month. Well, that obviously didn’t happen, leaving us with questions. A leaker on X might have an answer.

Samsung has allegedly delayed the Galaxy Ax7 series launch event to March, which means they’ve fallen back to their usual schedule. The leaker didn’t have a specific date in his tweet. The approximate timeline is all we get. This leak had some specifications for each device.

The screen on the Galaxy A37 is actually a 6.7” AMOLED. It seems to have the usual FHD+ 1080p resolution. Sadly, Samsung hasn’t transitioned to 1.5K resolution for its devices just yet. They are still playing it safe. The phone keeps a 120Hz refresh rate and upgrades the chipset to Exynos 1480.

The chip is two years old now, but the performance is still midrange at 2.75 GHz. We also know that the Galaxy A37 will keep using a 50MP main shooter, but it’s now a 1/1.56” type sensor. 8MP ultrawide is the same, and so is the 5MP macro. A 12MP selfie shooter is used once again on this handset. By the way, here is the Samsung price list where you can check the latest and old smartphone prices.

The hardware is plugged into a 5,000 mAh battery here. A 45W charging kit is used for backup on the A37. These specs aren’t exactly an upgrade, but that’s sadly the theme with this series. No major changes are found across the board. The Galaxy A37 sticks to an IP67 rating.

Samsung Galaxy A57 has a more premium Flexible 6.6” OLED, which apparently allows for thinner bezels. It’s FHD+ and 120Hz, so nothing’s really changing specs-wise. They did level up the chip to Exynos 1680 this time around. You are in for sub-flagship performance this year.

The storage speed is UFS 3.1, and the cameras are 50MP main with 12MP ultrawide. The newcomers share 5MP macro. Then comes a 5,000 mAh battery on his device that also has 45W charging. One feature that is upgraded on the Galaxy A57 is the IP68 rating. We hear this phone is 6.9mm this time.
