Samsung Galaxy A25 Starts Receiving Stable One UI 8.5 Update Globally

Samsung Galaxy A25 was updated in South Korea first with stable One UI 8.5. And now that the update is being deployed globally. Turkey is one of the first countries where this update is seen. But the pace will increase exponentially from this point onward, and we’ll probably see One UI 8.5 in Pakistan soon.

There were limited details when the A25 was being updated in South Korea. But sources in Turkey have done an excellent job reporting facts about the One UI 8.5 update on the Galaxy A25. We now know the exact size of the OTA package to download.

This new update is actually a 2.7GB download only. It’s not as big as the one pushed on the Galaxy A35 or A55, for example. The package mostly has the updated stock apps, of course. But there are very few UI changes and feature additions on the Samsung latest A mobile One UI 8.5 firmware.

@Alfaturk16 gave up a screenshot of the changelog, so we know the exact firmware version: A256EXXUCEZE6. This is the number you’ll see, or at least something resembling it, when the update hits your Galaxy A25. By the way, the update in Turkey is a part of a wider rollout in Europe, which will take a few more days to complete.

The Asian rollout of this update has still not begun. But you might want to “Check for Updates” regularly to keep track of it. Go to Settings >> Software Updates to find that button. When they unlock the One UI 8.5 update and the Galaxy A25 connects to the server, a Download and Install button will appear.

The new update is also a security patch. It has the May 2026 security fixes, among other things. There are transparent, blurry effects all over the UI after the update. Quick panel has full customization from now on. Even support for Apple Airdrop has come to One UI 8.5. Keep watching the news for more updates.
