After Samsung rolled out the One UI 7 to Galaxy A15 and A16, we knew it was only a matter of time before Galaxy A25 also joined the bandwagon. The Android 15-based update is now available on the entry-level Galaxy A25 in South Korea and should expand worldwide soon.
South Korean A25 users can spot the One UI 7 update with its build number A256NKSU5CYE2. In other regions, the code should look somewhat identical. The OTA package also includes a May 2025 security patch, and the update size has been confirmed at 3.45GB.
Pakistani users with access to a Galaxy A25 should keep an eye out for the update. After the cycle is completed in Korea, the One UI 7 should start expanding to more regions and eventually arrive in Pakistan in a matter of days. You can always follow the instructions to check if it’s available.
Simply go to the Settings app on your Samsung latest budget model and scroll down to the software update section. In the menu, you can press the “Check for Updates“ button. If the update is accessible on your device, a Changelog should appear with a “Download and Install” button to initiate the update process.
This is a massive update with a new OS and a security patch, so it might take a couple of minutes to complete the installation. The Galaxy A25 is a device from 2023 with Android 14 x One UI 6 running on it by default. It’s been promised four years of OS support, and after updating it to Android 15, you’ll be left with three OS versions down the line.
As for the contents of the update, you can expect a full UI overhaul, several new features, an improved notification shade, more dynamic animations, reinforced security, and system-wide optimizations. A “Now Bar” has been added to the lock screen, and the software gives you some additional home screen widgets.
All of Samsung’s native apps have been updated with One UI 7. Samsung continues to update more and more Galaxy devices every day. Stay tuned as the rollout continues and more eligible devices join the One UI 7 update in the days ahead.
