Samsung Galaxy A25 Grabs Stable One UI 8.5 Update; Global Rollout Begins Soon

It’s Galaxy A25’s turn to receive the stable One UI 8.5. Yes, this was also one of the eligible devices, and right now, it’s grabbing the update in the country of origin. After they’ve completed the round in South Korea in the next few days, the One UI 8.5 will start reaching the global version of the Samsung Galaxy A25.

This new update will change the firmware version to A256NKSU9EZE8. The letters in the middle are usually the ones that change as you switch the model numbers. So different versions of the A25 won’t have completely identical firmware codes. That said, you could see partial matches.

Anyway, this update is supposed to bring the Samsung latest A model from One UI 8 to version 8.5, which carries a lot of UI changes and customizations. This handset is not as fast as, let’s say, a Galaxy A55 or A35. So it would make sense that the firmware has a few upgrades missing.

The update has only been seen in Korea, so we can’t tell you the exact contents of the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A25. But other phones have been seeing changes in the Quick toggles panel. It can now be completely customized to your liking.

They moved the search bar to the bottom in many stock apps. Three new screen clock styles and new animations are seen in the lock screen customization. The update might also have some new widgets. And let’s not forget the monthly security patches that are also included in every One UI 8.5 update.

It will probably be a while before Pakistan also has the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A25. But this is the point where you should start manually checking for updates in the Settings. When they unlock the new update, the phone will prompt you to “Download and Install” the One UI 8.5 build. Keep watching the news for more updates.
