Samsung Galaxy A06 Finally Rolls Out the Long-Awaited One UI 7 Update

Samsung Galaxy A06 is one of the final few devices to receive the One UI 7 update before the rollout ends. As usual, the cheapest member in the line is fashionably late to the party, but we are happy to report that the Galaxy A06 4G is now picking up the One UI 7 x Android 15 update in Asia. Here’s what you need to know.

The company has so far deployed the One UI 7 for all the Galaxy A06 devices in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. We are sure the update will start seeding in more countries shortly. In the next few days, Galaxy A06 users in Pakistan will be able to download it as well.

The stable One UI 7 update, which is making rounds across Asia, can be spotted with the firmware version “A065FXXU4BYF6.” Of course, this is a major upgrade, so it might take a while to download the full 3GB package. It adds more functions and security to the Galaxy A06.

The new firmware not only brings the core Android system to version 15, but there’s also a May 2025 security patch within this update, which seems to target 20 newly found weak points in the system and make repairs. However, this update for Samsung's latest budget phones is more focused on features and a UI overhaul.

Right off the bat, the general changes you might see in this One UI 7 are the new icons for the stock Samsung apps and a more customizable Quick-panel. The Notification Center and utility toggles have been separated, just like iOS. There’s also a new battery icon on the status bar.

The new volume slider in the quick panel is an implementation fans have been demanding for a long time. And Samsung finally listened. Also, the app drawer can be set to a vertical scroll now, and there are multiple new widgets for the home screen as part of the overhaul.

The A06 owners who want to keep track of the One UI 7 update can check out the Settings >> Software Updates menu and tap the “Check for Updates” button. When it arrives in Pakistan, you’ll see a prompt to read the Changelog file and a “Download and Install” on the same screen. From there, you can download the One UI 7 package and let the phone reboot to a brand-new operating system.
