The global launch will surely include a Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. They did release the series in China early, but there is no such device back home. This newcomer was also listed on Geekbench, so it doesn’t leave any room for doubt. Most of the Note 17 Pro Max’s specs are out there now, and you’ll find a brief overview right here.
A phone with model number 2609FRA74G was just seen on Geekbench. It has only been a few days. We know that it’s a Redmi Note 17 Pro Max because the same number on Thailand’s NBTC certification was addressed with the full name. It didn’t have any details, but the NBTC file came in handy anyway.
So, what’s exactly inside the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max? It would seem they’ve put a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip on this newcomer. Four cores boost the clock speed to 2.61 GHz. And the GPU is Adreno 812. We know that it at least has 8GB RAM. That hardware won 900+ and 2900+ points on single and multicore tests, by the way.
Sad to say, they won’t put Android 17 on the Xiaomi latest Redmi mobile. There’s just a simple Hyper OS 3 Android 16 build out of the box. All the international models were leaked in a big way last month. They are somewhat different from the Chinese versions.
The batteries are definitely smaller on each Redmi Note 17, and even though they decided to omit Ultrawide cameras in China, the global series will probably include 8MP Ultrawide across the board. And the selfie camera is also upgraded to 16MP for the global Redmi Note 17 series.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is technically new to the scene, so its specs aren’t well documented. But we do know that its stats are pretty close to Redmi Note 17 Pro’s. So there’s a possibility of a 6.83” screen, AMOLED Victus 2 with 1.5K resolution.
The rear camera is possibly 50MP next to an 8MP Ultrawide, added on by a 32MP selfie. And then comes a 9,210mAh rated battery on the Pro Max. 100W fast charging would be supported on this device. Keep watching for the news for more updates.
