Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro series is supposed to hit the global market on August 27th, but the schedule is a bit different for some regions. It would seem one of the neighboring markets will welcome the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Pro Max halfway through September, on the 15th.
Of course, Xiaomi is busy right now teasing the Note 17 Pro and Pro Max in said country. Yogesh Brar is an indian leaker who revealed that these phones will enter his market quite late on September 15th. That’s almost three weeks away.
The official global debut is happening a day after tomorrow, so we will probably learn everything about their specs soon enough. We’re already beginning to see a spec sheet form as we speak. We know that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has 100W fast charging to refill a 10,000mAh cell. A five-star rating is provided by TÜV SÜD for 3-meter drop resistance and water safety. The page says it has up to IP69K certification, so it’s actually safe from boiling pressurized water jets.
There’s an official product page out there, and it exposed the exact chipset used on the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. They’ve gone with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC and 12GB RAM for this newcomer. That setup is going to yield midrange performance at best. This newcomer is built around a 6.83” AMOLED.
They say it’s a CrystalRes 1.5K panel, which is usually better than an FHD+ display. There’s also a 50MP camera on its back. The basic Note 17 Pro also has the same OLED 120Hz 6.83” flat screen, but there’s a smaller battery on this version.
There’s a possibility of a 9000mAh battery inside the Note 17 Pro, which will refill via a 67W charger, so it’s behind the Pro Max on both metrics.
