We’ve found more details about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 in the very last minute before its official launch in China. Yes, there has already been an influx of teasers with key features, but it seems they’ve been hiding the good stuff. Someone leaked an image that consolidates most of the phone’s hardware.
The leaked photo had a display card that’s usually found in the demo booths for customers to examine the specs. Redmi Note 17 gave up more than a few important details on the card. We already knew from the teasers that its screen is a huge 7” OLED.
But now we know that it’s a bright 1,800 nits OLED panel, and it has Gorilla Glass safety, though the exact version is unknown. Teasers had the battery size as well. The Xiaomi new 5G mobile will use an 8000mAh battery, smaller than the 9000mAh on the Pro, which is eclipsed by the Note 17 Pro Max’s 10,100mAh cell.
By the way, the leaked display card gave us the exact charging speed today. The Note 17 will use a 45W input only, no upgrade over the older version. The phone does reverse wired charging at 22.5W, which will turn it into a power bank for other accessories you may have. 
It looks like the phone has a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, not the 6s Gen 4 that the leakers have been predicting for the Note 17. This is a very new 4nm chip that’s 5G-ready and boosts the clock speed to 2.3GHz, which does bring into question the phone’s actual GPU performance.
The 4 series SoCs rarely have a decent GPU. This one brings the Adreno 613. Anyway, it looks like the Note 17 could use 12GB RAM with it, most likely LPDDR4X. And the storage will be UFS 3.1. IP65 is the official safety rating for this newcomer.
There will be two speakers on the Note 17, and the Audio will hit 200% with the boost on. Only a single usable camera is installed on the back at 50MP resolution. And there are rumors of an 8MP selfie camera in the front. We’ll find the rest of its details at launch. So keep watching the news.
