Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max didn’t make its Chinese debut, but maybe it’s headed for an international release. A certification listing was made for this device, and the normal Redmi Note 17 at NBTC, so Thailand is a likely destination for its launch. This is everything we know about their global versions.
It would seem that 2609FRA74G is the model number they’ve assigned to the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, and the letter G at the end clearly means it’s a global trim. By the way, it’s the same case for the basic Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 (global): a “G” at the end of its model number 26081RA18G.
These are the actual screengrabs from the NBTC database in Thailand, so these newcomers must be ready for a local launch there. We can’t say when, but they usually leave a clue in the model numbers. It’s not the exact date, though, just a window.
2609 means September 2026, so that could be the global launch window for the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. And Xiaomi new Note model has the numbers 2608 at the start. That will put its global launch in August. Their specs have been leaked multiple times, and the fact sheet is already starting to form.
From what we’ve gathered so far, it would seem that the Note 17 Pro Max is also putting a 7” OLED on the front, which will have a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. Most of its siblings in China were downgraded, but not the Pro Max. It still has a 200MP main camera and 32MP selfie.
They’ll even put an 8MP ultrawide OV8F10 unit on the back. This newcomer didn’t curb the Chinese market. It’s going there eventually, but late. The version in China is supposed to carry a 10,000mAh cell, but the global version will strip it down to 9210mAh rated battery size.
100W is a possibility as far as the charging goes on the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. Of course, a device like this will at least get an IP68 rating. Then comes the basic Redmi Note 17, and it’s believed that the specs match one-to-one with the Chinese model, except the battery.
It’s said that a smaller cell is used on the global Note 17: 7,700mAh (45W charging). It will keep its Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and 7” OLED. Its resolution is probably 1.5K at 120Hz. 50MP single main camera is used on the device. There’s no secondary camera on the back, and only an 8MP selfie shooter at the front.
