Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is already in the works and could launch in the next few weeks. Expect a similar timeline to the Note 14 Pro+, which debuted in September last year. We have found some early details about this newcomer on a Weibo leak, courtesy of the tipster Digital Chat Station. Here’s what the leak entails.
The proclaimed leaker believes this phone might be outfitted with a 1.5K resolution high-end panel with all symmetric bezels. He doesn’t mention if it’s a curved panel or a flat one, but you can safely assume it’s from an AMOLED category. Since the Note 15 Pro+ is a premium phone, a smooth refresh rate is almost guaranteed, but we can’t give you a specific number yet.
DCS continues with the leak, saying that its main camera has a 50MP sensor and a similar 50MP shooter lies under a telephoto lens, the first of its kind on the Note series. Whether it retains an Ultrawide camera on the back is still a mystery to us, but it should be confirmed down the line in one of the leaks.
If you recall the last time, there was a 200MP main camera on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+. Switching it down to a 50MP sensor, if the leak pans out, of course, might turn out to be a controversial move. We are interested to see what explanation Xiaomi has for this downgrade in Redmi's 5G new smartphone.
As far as the performance is concerned, Xiaomi has planned a perfect upgrade from last year’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 to the unannounced 7s Gen 4 SoC on its Pro+ variant. There’s also a solid battery upgrade on this device you can look forward to.
We hear the newcomer could swap out the old 5110mAh standard battery for a much larger cell with a capacity somewhere between 7,000 mAh and 7,999 mAh. This is, by far, one of the most dramatic upgrades we have seen on a Redmi Note device.
These numbers are optimistic, but this leak probably talks about the Chinese Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which is sometimes different from the global counterpart. So, there might be some disparity in their battery sizes. There are bound to be more leaks on this topic down the line. Stick around if you want to stay in the loop.
