The new as of yet unannounced Redmi 10 was listed on a retail site from Singapore last week. The little oversight gave us a peek at the design and specs of the Xiaomi Redmi 9's successor. And Thailand authorities have now certified the same device, hinting at its upcoming launch.
You can find the Redmi 10 public listing on the Thailand NBTC database under the model number “21061119AG.” Because it’s a connectivity certificate, it doesn’t specify any system details other than the LTE modem inside the Redmi 10.
For the technical specs, we turn to the leaked product page. The Redmi 10 is powered by a new budget gaming processor from MediaTek, the Helio G88. It features an octa-core processor designed to process 90Hz displays and deliver a smooth touch response.
Xiaomi pioneered quality displays in budget phones last year, starting with the Redmi 9 series. And the Redmi 10 continues that trend by bumping up the refresh rate to 90hz. We’re looking at a 6.5” 1080P LCD with a hole punched through it — toughened with Gorilla Glass.
Six GB of memory handles multitasking on Xiaomi's new model 2021. And you get up to 128GB of expandable internal storage. The setup runs the latest iteration of Xiaomi’s MIUI 12, based on the Android 11. A 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast-charging power the Redmi 10.
The phone features a quad-camera system on the back: a 50MP sensor, an 8MP camera, and a pair of 2MP sensors. We find an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The leaks leave little to the imagination for the Redmi 10. And since it has received the NBTC certification, the phone is likely to go official very soon.
