ZTE isn’t ready to jump past the RedMagic 11 series just yet. They’ve released two new devices for the same generation today: ZTE nubia RedMagic 11S Pro and 11S Pro+. We knew the basic version was coming, but the Pro+ is a surprise treat with a bigger battery and more storage.
These phones have the same chip. But we’ll get to that in a bit. These are basically the same phones, but one has a bigger battery and extra cooling compared to the other. And the pricier one gets more RAM and storage to make every penny count.
The battery size seems like a good place to start. ZTE new Nubia mobile is built on a smaller 7500mAh battery, and the 11S Pro+ bumps that up to 8000mAh. Both have respectable capacities in their own right, though. The non-Plus option also gets the shaft with a lower 80W charging speed. RedMagic 11S Pro+ is a tad faster at a 120W input.
They split these phones by cooling. The one with the liquid cooling solution and the round ring at the back is actually the 11S Pro+. There’s also an active cooling fan on this pricier model. The RedMagic 11S Pro only has the active fan to cool its chipset.
By the way, both phones have the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Edition with 4.74 GHz clock speed on the Oryon Prime core. Well, it’s basically a name-swapped version of the For Galaxy SD 8 Elite Gen 5 that the Galaxy S26 series uses. These newcomers have the same chip, but the performance might still be different.
It turns out, there’s only 12GB RAM and 256GB memory on the basic RedMagic 11S Pro trim. You will see three variants of the 11S Pro+. And the biggest one has 16GB LPDDR5X, with 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Most of their other specifications are a match. Even the colors are identical: Silver Wing and Dark Night.
The series used the same BOE X10 panels. Those are 6.85” 144Hz AMOLEDs, premium with no selfie cutouts. And each has 1.5K resolution and 2000nits peak brightness. Ultrasonic fingerprints are used on the screens.
The main shooter they carry on the back has 50MP resolution, and the Ultrawide shares that very resolution/pixel count. That third camera is actually a 2MP macro. Again, both models have the same cameras. The starter RedMagic 11S Pro is actually CNY 5,499 (~PKR 225,000). The RedMagic 11S Pro+ (12/256GB) floors the price at CNY 6,199 (~PKR 254,000). But the ceiling cost will be CNY 7,999 (~PKR 327,000) for the 16/1TB trim.
