Realme P3 and Realme P3 Ultra have only been sold in a single country so far. And while the internet believed they would stay confined to that market alone, an official announcement from Realme took everyone by surprise. The company wants to deploy the P3 and P3 Ultra globally, with e-commerce stores as the primary channels of distribution.
Realme P3 Ultra
The Realme P3 duo will no longer remain exclusive to India. These phones are publicly available, and their specs are widely known. The Ultra variant has the best chipset in the series. There’s a Dimensity 8350 Ultra at its core with a 3.35GHz clock speed and UFS 3.1 storage.
The display is a 6.83” AMOLED that has 1500 nits of peak brightness. It’s lacking in HDR10+ support, but its 1.5K resolution is pretty decent, not to mention a standard 120Hz refresh rate, which is still considered a premium feature. Minor scratches or shallow drops won’t hurt the screen since it’s layered with Gorilla Glass 7i.
Dropping the phone in water won’t cause any damage. It’s IP69 certified to protect from dust and up to 2.5mm depth underwater. This phone is only 7.4mm thick, yet it carries a 6000mAh battery, which is recharged with an 80W input. A fingerprint reader lies on top of the screen, and two speakers allow surround audio on the Ultra variant.
The Realme P3 Ultra has multiple AI features as part of its Realme UI 6 x Android 15 experience. As far as the cameras are concerned, this model has an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP Main shooter on the back. The selfie camera is also pretty decent, with a 16 MP sensor underneath. The Realme P3 starts at $339 (~PKR 96,000) in the global market.
Realme P3
This is the basic version with the same 120Hz refresh rate but a lower 1080p resolution. It’s also an AMOLED type panel, a little small in size at 6.67”, but a lot brighter with its peak 2000 nits HBM. Sadly, it gets no Gorilla Glass treatment for drop or scratch resistance, so this phone will need a screen protector right from the start.
Realme P3’s Chip is a new and entry-level Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 (4nm) platform with a 2.3GHz speed. It’s running an Android 15 system out of the box, which is overlaid by Realme UI 6. There’s no wide-angle lens here. It gets replaced with a 2MP depth mapper and the same 50MP main shooter. Both phones have at least the same 16MP selfie camera.
The fingerprint reader is under the screen, the dual speakers are also available on the Realme P3, and the phone is equipped with an identical 6000mAh battery to the Pro. But, its charging speeds are a bit lower at 45W only. Realme P3 has a starting price of $229 (~PKR 65,000).
