Realme C83 5G has joined the series now, and as we predicted, the newcomer is built around a Dimensity 6300 SoC. The phone actually has a lot in common with the upper-rank Realme C85. But its cheaper cost does mean you lose camera quality, charging speed, and some durability. This is everything we learned about the Realme C83 5G.

The screen has a notch instead of the punch hole, but it kept the original size at 6.8.” It’s an IPS LCD, by the way. The screen has a 144Hz refresh rate and a 720p resolution. The brightness is recorded at 900 nits on the Realme C83. There’s 180Hz touch sampling.
A 7,000 mAh battery came with the Realme C85. This newcomer, even though it’s cheaper, has the same 7,000 mAh size. But they’ve dropped the charging speed to 15W. The refill will take hours on such a huge battery pack. It does, however, have the potential to last 2 days on a single charge. By the way, here is the Realme rate list, in which you can check out the latest and old phone prices.

Something else Realme downgraded is the IP rating. This C83 version actually has IP64 splashproof and full dust ingress protection. It won’t match the C85’s IP69K rating. But these two phones were tested for the same MIL-STD-810H certification. The design is completely shockproof.

At least these phones have matching performance. The C83 grabs the same Dimensity 6300. That’s a 2.4GHz octacore 6nm platform, so it’s decently fast, and stacks up pretty well at entry-level. eMMC 5.1 128GB storage and LPDDR4X 6GB RAM could hold back its performance.

Anyway, this newcomer does have a 2TB SD card slot. The C83’s main camera uses a 13MP f/2.2 aperture sensor. The selfies are taken from a 5MP lens in the notch. The system running everything is Realme UI 7, which is a custom skin on top of Google’s Android 16 core.
The newcomer does have a side fingerprint reader and dual-band 5GHz WiFi. There’s also an Audio jack and dual SIM support on the Realme C83. This newcomer has a base price of $145 (~PKR 40,000) for the 4/64GB trim. The upgrade path leads to a 6/128GB version, but that costs $190 (~PKR 53,000).
