The launch is close for the Realme 16 Pro series. We are watching a swell of early teasers from the company, as they build up to the official January 6th debut. First, they revealed the key specifications for the standard Realme 16 Pro. And now, it’s Realme 16 Pro Plus’ turn. This is what we found in the new teaser.
They’ve updated the microsite for the Realme 16 Pro Plus, and now you can clearly see the chipset they plan to use on this phone. Realme has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 queued up for the Pro+. That’s a mid-range silicon, by the way. You might have seen it on the likes of Vivo V60 and Redmi Note 15 Pro+.
This is one of the premium chips, and its performance is only as good as the thermal solution used on the phone. Realme 16 Pro+ has optimized it enough to yield a 1.44 million AnTuTu score out of this chipset. The scores also take into account the RAM and storage.
There’s apparently 12GB LPDDR5X RAM on this newcomer with 512GB storage. The Realme 16 Pro+ is the best handset among the three siblings that belong to the 16 series. That’s why it also has the best display and battery of all the devices. Consequently, the Realme price list provides budget-friendly smartphones that come with a strong set of features for different budget categories.
Realme 16 Pro+ is built around a 4D quad-curve screen that can go up to 6500nits (local peak brightness). The bezels around the display are just 1.48mm thin, and the best part about it is the 2500Hz touch sampling rate. The screen size or refresh rate has not been teased yet.
We know for a fact that Realme 16 Pro Plus’ Main camera is 200MP with a possible 50MP telephoto lens on the back. The microsite has even shown an IP69 Pro rating for this newcomer. You can put this phone underwater without any risk of damage.
They’ve even revealed the battery on this newcomer, which is 7,000 mAh. We assume this is a two-day phone. 80W charging support is also there for quick refills when the phone runs out. The launch on January 6th will reveal the rest of its specs and price. Keep watching the news for updates.
