Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro Press Images and Specs Leaked Before the November Launch

Xiaomi's POCO M4 Pro 5G is the latest in the budget line of performance POCO phones. It’s launching globally on November 9. But the trailers only feature the release timeline, lacking any specs or previews. The rumor mill, however, gives us a sneak preview of this upcoming phone with leaked press images.

The leak comes from the Vietnam-based publication, thePixel. Going by the alleged press images, the POCO M4 Pro 5G is a rehashed Redmi Note 11 which debuted in China last month. It’s very on-brand for POCO that was created in the first place to repackage Xiaomi phones for an international audience.

The M4 Pro 5G looks virtually indistinguishable from the Redmi Note 11, save for the thick accent that stretches across its width. POCO’s bold branding is stamped on this accent, building on the odd design trend that the last-gen POCO M3 started. The camera housing also has a contrasting chrome lining inherited from the Redmi Note 11.

The shell of the new Xiaomi mobile — seen here in graphite — curves along the edges containing a power button + fingerprint sensor duo. Flip the POCO M4 Pro 5G over to find a tiny hole punched through the center of the display. It’s held in position by a set of slim bezels.

Since the M4 Pro 5G is a rebranded Redmi Note 11, we have a fair idea of what to expect. The screen would be a 6.6” IPS LCD, delivering a 1080P resolution at a 90Hz refresh rate. Inside its O-hole, we should find a 16MP front camera. The rear camera system would feature 50MP wide and 8MP ultra-wide cameras.

Everything will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 810 — a mid-range 5G chip from the Taiwanese fab. The battery size is 5000 mAh, and it charges over an optimal 33W of power. MIUI 12.5, built on Android 11, runs on the POCO M4 Pro 5G.
