Now that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is out, Chinese phone-makers are creating hype for their upcoming flagships that use the latest and greatest from Qualcomm. Xiaomi, Motorola, Realme have already put out official posters teasing the same. And Oppo just jumped on the hype train with a press release announcing a new Oppo Flagship mobile.

The press release doesn’t name any names, but we’ve already learned that the flagship series is called the Oppo Find X4. It’ll feature a baseline edition and a Pro model. Both phones run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

They won’t debut until the first quarter of 2022 — the typical release timeline of Find X phones. The international launch might follow even later.

Although this press release is the first official word from Oppo, the Find X4 series has already been featured in a string of product leaks. Reportedly, Oppo is stepping up the charging speeds from 65W to 80W over the wire. Wirelessly, the charging power maxes out at 50W. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh.

Also, the screen is still a 6.7” AMOLED panel with a QHD+ resolution and a super-adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The camera resolutions haven’t changed from this year either. We’re looking at a cluster of two 50MP wide and ultra-wide-angle lenses and a 13MP telephoto camera. The front camera is 32MP. All the other flagship features that you expect a premium phone to offer but don’t have to think about are also there — dual speakers, Gorilla Glass Victus, IP rating, the latest Android, and blazing fast storage.
