OPPO Find N, the brand’s first flagship foldable, was announced via a press release recently. It’s debuting on December 15, the second day of the OPPO INNO day 2021 event. The first blog post only featured a teaser image. But OPPO has since followed up on it with two trailer videos. Plus, the Find N surfaced in leaked hands-on photos.

The one big highlight of the OPPO Find N 5G is its creaseless display. No other phone maker has overcome this engineering hurdle so far because every foldable on the market has a crease running above the hinge.

Making the design and user experience pleasant was also a priority. In contrast to the Galaxy Z Fold series that rocks odd aspect ratios on the cover screen, the  Find N is much more compact, and its aspect ratio, typical.

Pete Lau, OPPO’s product manager, notes that they waited for the foldable industry to mature instead of keeping up with the trends. The Find N is their sixth prototype because OPPO has been working on a foldable since 2018.

The backplate of the OPPO Find N was pictured in a hands-on photo. It shows a set of three cameras housed inside a rounded rectangle. The overall design language is soft and round. Open it up to find a pinhole punched through a corner of the display.

Upon a closer look, you’ll find the pricing and specs pulled up on the screen. The OPPO Find N has the Snapdragon 888 at its heart — not the latest and greatest from Qualcomm, but close enough. Its 4500 mAh battery charges at 33W over the wire and 15W wirelessly. The display peaks at 120Hz in refresh rate. We’re looking at a 50MP+16MP+13MP rear camera cluster. Embedded inside the hole punch is a 32MP lens.

OPPO Find N comes in two memory editions: 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. The leak also suggests the expected Oppo Foldable price tags, the baseline model is said to start from CNY12,999 (~ Rs. 363,500) while the top-end edition could cost CNY13,999 (~ Rs. 391,500.)
