Oppo introduced the budget A76 phone in Malaysia yesterday. The new Oppo A95's cousin is already up for sale there. And it should be rolled out to other Asian markets soon. We have the pricing and features to report.

The 5000 mAh battery inside the Oppo A76 4G promises all-day battery life. And it’s powered over 33W SuperVOOC charging. Thirty minutes of recharging gives you a 55% top-up. And only 5 minutes of powering up is enough for 2 hours of video streaming.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is at the heart of this phone. It’s built on a 6nm process node for more power-efficient performance. You get 6GB of memory and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. RAM expansion delivers smoother multitasking performance. The chip also drives the 90Hz refresh rate to make the visuals flow. Old-gen ColorOS 11 x Android 11 runs on the Oppo A76.

The classic OPPO Glow Design presents a sleek aesthetic in Glowing Black and Glowing Blue colors. Both finishes have a subtle glitter texture. We also find a smooth, matching frame on the latest Oppo 4G mobile containing a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, and a power button that doubles as the fingerprint scanner.

Two lenses and an LED flash make up a cluster on the back. Modern imaging software creates a more natural shallow depth of field in your portraits, AI adjusts the lighting and retouches, and HDR makes your photos pop.

Save for the high refresh rate, the Oppo A76 has an unremarkable display. It’s a bezel-heavy 6.56” IPS LCD that delivers a standard 720P resolution. The 600 nits of max brightness is also on the lower end. Oppo has punched a hole in this panel to contain an 8MP front camera. The phone starts from MYR 900 (~ Rs. 37,700.)
