After its official debut in May, Oppo A5 (2025) has finally arrived in Pakistan with a 6/128GB memory trim. This is an entry-class device built around a Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chip. The performance is reasonable, although the primary focus for this handset is durability and battery life.
It carries a 6000mAh battery in a body that only weighs 193g and measures 8mm thin. The 45W fast charging support on Oppo A5 can refill 50% of its capacity in under 36 minutes. EU officially rates the battery with 1600 cycles and 64 hours of endurance.
The punch display on the front has a 6.67” IPS panel. It’s limited to HD+ (720p) resolution, though it does support a fast 90Hz refresh rate. IPS LCDs rarely hit 1000 nits in the entry-level class, but it’s easily achieved by the new Oppo A5 in HBM mode. A Gorilla Glass 7i on the front keeps it from breaking.
The screen is safe from scratches up to Mohs level 4. It doubles down on durability with its IP65 rating and Military Grade MIL-STD-810H certification. It’s not a rugged phone, but it’s safe from water jets and dust ingress, with a high survival chance if you accidentally drop it.
Oppo new budget model’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 only hits 2.1GHz clock speed on the quad Cortex A73 cores. With Android 15 OS running on it, the phone might feel sluggish in certain use cases. It does bring 6GB RAM and UFS 2.1 storage to lower the app response time.
The phone’s camera setup is quite ordinary. A 50MP shooter on the main lens and a 2MP sensor on the secondary should be plenty for daily use cases. It also comes with a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. You can shoot 1080p 30FPS videos on both sides.
There’s a single loudspeaker on this newcomer and a 3.5mm jack to attach peripherals. The phone also brings a dual-SIM/SD card slot and a Fingerprint ID on the side for the lock screen. The official price tag for Oppo A5 (2025) in Pakistan is Rs 40,999.
