Pakistan has had OPPO A16 4GB retail opening for almost a year. And for a value-friendly option, this phone has aged nicely over the span. The company believes it can serve its users in the foreseeable future as well. So after the recent price cut on OPPO A16k, the brand is now offering an exciting discount on its sibling, the A16 to rejuvenate its sales.

The standard OPPO A16 phone offers 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB variants. The 4GB A16 has been retailing for Rs. 38,999. Following its nationwide discount of Rs. 3000, the sales will rebegin at Rs. 35,999.

To recap, you are getting the discounted A16 with a generic design reminiscing the entry-range phones from 2021. The chamfered back, rectangular camera plate, triple-cam layout, polycarbonate build, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner melt into the edge rims.

Rolling over the A16, you’ll see a 720p screen densely packed at 269PPI. The size is 6.52-inch, notched, and IPS LCD in nature. It has a V-shape notch that nicely blends into the display with an 8MP selfie snapper hidden under it.

The A16 rear might feel underwhelming at this price compared to the newer models on the OPPO price list. You are getting three lenses, with a 13MP Primary shooter and a pair of 2MP assistive sensors underneath. A protruding black camera plate neatly encloses the trio.

As mentioned earlier, it has 64GB of storage capacity and 4GB of RAM. The engine under the hood is MediaTek’s Helio G35, juiced with a 5,000mAh Long-lasting battery. Its ten-watt charging rate is disappointing, given that phones in this range usually offer 18-watt charging support or more.

OPPO A16 build supports a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack with shades of Pearl Blue, Crystal Black, and Space Silver. It all rounds up to a 190-gram slab with 8.4mm thickness.
