It's only been a few weeks since HMD Global announced its new Nokia lineup to retail in three major price segments; sub-flagship X30 5G, Mid-range G60 5G, affordable Nokia G21, and C31. Just released in China is a new version of the Nokia C31 that is even more affordable than the original.

With the new C31 variant, you get the same feature set with a slightly reduced storage capacity. The variant carries 64GB of storage space and 4GB of RAM for ~111$. Meanwhile, compared to the global retail price of 129$, China's 128GB option will only cost 121$. Here's its brief specification overview.

From the get-go, the eyes latch onto C31's front, carrying a U-shaped notch melting into a 6.74-inch. The panel underneath the visor is pretty standard. With an IPS 1600 x 720 display, the phone limits the screen refresh rate to 60Hz, which is not surprising at this price bracket. The next best feature might be the rear design.

The rear plate has a circular cutout enveloping the biometric thumb scanner. The new addition to the Nokia price list has three cameras inside a slightly raised platform hiding a 13MP primary, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro sensor. The setup lies on the upper left corner of the back, which uses a 3D water ripple design to knock back smudge stains from fingers.

Powered by UNISOC SC9863A1, the Nokia C31 is a complete package as a daily driver. The processor is capable enough and uses PowerVR GE8322 GPU to handle visuals. It also offers a storage expansion of up to 512GB.

Packed inside its matte textured frame is a 5050mAh cell rated for a below-average 10W charging speed. But with its intelligent power-saving features, the phone should last a whole day easily, so you don't have to worry about slow charging speed. The phone is IP52-certified and ships in soft shades of Gray, Nordic Blue, and Mint Green.
