Nokia 2.4 Might Launch in the Coming Weeks; Another Leak Details Storage, Camera, and Colors

As per Nokia Power User, yet another basic entry-level model is on its way, titled Nokia 2.4 — the same model that was found on Geekbench’s database a few weeks back. The publication further reports the core specifications, which, combined with the certification and benchmark listings, gives us a rough specification sheet for the upcoming budget pick.

The camera details seem to be the highlight of this leak, so we’ll start there. Nokia 2.4 features a dual camera with a 13MP primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor, rounded off by a 5MP front-facing selfie camera.

The design is a mystery, but it will be available in grey, blue, and purple editions — although we don’t expect a big redesign from its predecessor. However, the display has grown from 6.2” to a more standard 6.5”, which probably still delivers an HD+ resolution (speculated based on its 165.85 x 76.3mm dimensions).

The FCC also approved the phone, and it could debut with the model number TA-1270 at an affordable Nokia Price tag. The TA-1270 handset also supports dual-SIM connectivity — among other candidates including TA01274, TA01275, and TA-1777.

Geekbench’s database reveals a 2GB + 32GB and a 3GB + 32GB combination, powered by MediaTek’s previous-gen Helio P22 processor and a 4,500 mAh (another upgrade from its predecessor’s 4,000 mAh cell). Given its entry-level performance, there won’t be any support for fast charging, but we might see HMD Global switch to a present-gen USB Type-C port.

HMD Global hasn’t announced Nokia 2.4 or its release scheduled yet, but Gizmochina notes that it might make an appearance at the IFA 2020 next month.
