Xiaomi came out with the incredibly lightweight Mi 11 Lite 5G in Spring this year. But its sequel — the Mi 11 Lite 5G NE — is already on the way. The New Edition Mi 11 Lite is coming later this month; its early preview, pricing, and specs were recently leaked.

The leak was published by a Twitter user, featuring the detailed specification sheet and the front panel of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE. It’s only 6.8 mm thick and weighs just 159 grams (the lightest and slimmest Android around.) If it’s anything like the Mi 11 Lite, the phone will be crafted from glass and toughened with an IP rating.

The screen has a hole punched through its corner and protected with Gorilla Glass. It’s presumably a 6.55” AMOLED screen, delivering a 90Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of peak brightness, and a 1080P resolution. The camera housed in the cutout is 20MP. Flip the phone over to find a 64MP wide camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro camera.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G powers the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite NE. The chip on Xiaomi's new model 2021 works with 128GB of flash storage and the MIUI-layered Android 11 OS. The phone is offered in at least one black color. The Mi 11 Lite 5G NE is priced at 329 euros (~ Rs. 65,000.)

The Chinese telecommunication authority TENNA signed off on a Xiaomi model that lines up perfectly with the Mi 11 Lite 5G NE. But rumors also point out that it will launch as a Xiaomi CC11 phone in some markets. At any rate, it’s backed up by a 4150 mAh battery. The storage goes up to 512GB. And other than black, the color palette includes white, cyan, blue, green, orange, red, purple, and yellow.
