Itel Super 26 Ultra was unveiled roughly two weeks ago in Nigeria, with a pre-order window that will last till September 14th. On Monday, the phone will be pushed out for retail in the country. Itel shared limited details at the time of announcement, but now that Super 26 Ultra is close to its first sale, all its specs and pricing have been confirmed.
The phone succeeds the itel S25 Ultra from last year. It brings back the curved panel. The corners are sanded down for a softer look, and its 6.8” AMOLED screen has been promoted to a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5k resolution. This sort of design and specs are rare within the price range.
The Super 26 Ultra has a 6.8mm build. It’s not quite at the level of Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ or Tecno Pova Slim, but itel could develop its own sub-6mm handset soon. Slim as it is, the 26 Ultra doesn’t compromise on the battery whatsoever.
The itel new Ultra model's 6.8mm thin frame carries a physics-defying 6000mAh battery that will retain health for up to 4 years (itel claims). This power pack supports a standard 18W input, which is slow to recharge. At least, you won’t have to constantly worry about recharging it on and off again once you fill it up. The phone will easily last one day with normal usage.
Super 26 Ultra has a splashproof IP65 rating. The AI rainproof touch feature keeps the screen operational even in damp conditions. That display is outfitted with a layer of Gorilla Glass 7i, so it won’t be easy to scratch or crack in case the phone slips out of your hand.
Itel guarantees six years of unbeatable fluency on this device. The newcomer’s performance is driven by a Unisoc 6nm T7300 chip, which is tamed by a 10-layer IceCool thermal solution. This chip can outperform MediaTek Helio G99 on CPU and give you a decent gaming experience.
This device has the company’s brand-new itelOS x Android 15 firmware. The price is roughly $151 (~PKR 43,000) for Super 26 Ultra’s 8GB + 128GB storage pairing. Buyers wanting bigger storage can pay $170 (~PKR 48,000) for a 256GB variant. The device will probably launch in more countries once it has reached the finale in Nigeria.
