iPhone SE 3 New Renders Showcase a Redesigned iPhone with no Touch ID & a Wide Notch

iPhone SE 3 2022, the next-generation affordable iPhone, has been making headlines lately. From industry analysts predicting its specs to reports of an early launch, we’ve heard many rumors of this upcoming iPhone. The latest in this string brings us the alleged product mockups.

TenTechReview and @xLeaks7 published unofficial mockups featuring the iPhone SE 3. They showcase a design inspired by the iPhone XR. We’re looking at a minimal bezel on the screen and a wedge notch bleeding into it. It’s reportedly a 5.69” screen, presumably with Face ID feature.

The soft curved frame is 7.3mm thick. On the back, we find a solitary camera in the corner and Apple’s branding in the middle. Overall, it’s a compact iPhone with a featherweight footprint.

However, note that several reliable industry sources have reported that Apple is repurposing the iPhone 8 casing for the New SE iPhone 2022 once again. The redesign seen in these renders is supposedly the iPhone SE that’ll come in 2024.

As Apple leaker @Dylan puts it, “for 2022, Apple will release an iPhone SE with 5G, a spec bump, and the same design as the 2020 model.” Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young have both backed up @Dylan’s predictions.

The spec bump refers to the iPhone SE 3’s 5G support. It’s the first SE to feature a cutting-edge 5G Bionic A-series chip, possibly the A15. It’s the same 5nm platform that powers the entire iPhone 13 line.
