Apple iPhone 20 Pro is going nearly bezelfree next year, though it might just be an optical illusion, according to some. It has been claimed that the iPhone design will be changed meaningfully in 2027 because it’s Apple’s 20th Anniversary and they want to do something special. And by special, they probably mean a Quad Curve OLED.
This was refuted by a few sources in the past weeks, but now Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has given his two cents. Apparently, the former theory of a Quad Curve OLED on iPhone is still valid, and Apple hasn’t really given up on the idea just yet.
Digital Chat Station did some sleuthing and found details about the display that parallel Gurman’s claim. Putting a quad curve screen on iPhones would increase their screen size. V73 and V74 are the two models DCS found, and it seems they both have bigger screens at the older 9:21 aspect ratio. By the way, here are the Apple iPhone latest prices, from affordable options to the latest flagship models.
Those are probably codes for iPhone 20 Pro and Pro Max. We did a coverage before on the same topic, when we found a leak on screen sizes. Here’s a rundown again. iPhone 20 Pro will probably end up with a 6.4” screen this time. And the Pro Max’s bigger screen will get even larger at 6.96”.
These aren’t huge size gaps, but it does confirm the theory of a Quad Curve screen. Those types of displays were seen on many Chinese phones back in the day before the flat screens got back in trend. You may remember the Vivo V60 that had exactly the same type of display.
Again, all these predictions are being made before the iPhone 18 Pro series has even launched, so we hesitate to trust any such rumors.
