First iPhone 13 Pro Max (Gold) Unboxing Video is Out; A Closer Look at the New Packaging & Specs

The top-tier iPhone 13 Pro Max was opened for pre-orders shortly following the announcement. While it was supposed to ship on September 24, the release has been delayed until October. So if you pre-registered for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, you can't get your hands on it for another month. But an unboxing video featuring the iPhone 13 Pro Max gives us the early impressions.

Published on the YouTube channel SalimBaba Technical (a Youtuber in Dubai), the unboxing clip shows us a tour of the Gold iPhone 13 Pro Max. Once again, Apple is leaving the charging brick and the earphones out of the box. But this year, the retail box isn’t even covered in plastic. It’s opened with a paper tab.

Our host takes out the phone to reveal a USB lightning cable, Apple stickers, and a SIM ejector tool tucked underneath it. The iPhone 13 Pro Max Gold Edition has flat, sharp stainless steel edges in a chrome finish. You can also pick from sierra blue, graphite, and silver.

Around the front, the screen of the new iPhone for 2021 is toughened with the Ceramic Shield and houses a 20% smaller notch. Apple has also introduced the 120Hz ProMotion feature to the display this year. The iPhone 13 Pro Max body is protected against spills and dust thanks to an IP68 rating.

Apple promises all-day battery life through software and hardware optimization. The 5nm A15 Bionic chip powers the Pro Max that now supports more 5G bands than ever. iPhone 13 Pro Max cameras are the most advanced on any iPhone. With the integration of the new image signal processor inside the A15 Bionic and sensor-shift stabilization on all three lenses, the video is always steady, and the images are always crisp and bright, even in low light.
