Infinix Smart 5 Pro Price in Pakistan; An Ultra-budget Smartphone with 6,000 mAh Battery

In August last year, Infinix introduced the entry-level Infinix Smart 5. It was a low-end phone, offering only basic features. Infinix followed up on this model with a supposedly ‘Pro’ edition. Launched in September 2021 in Pakistan, the Infinix Smart 5 Pro is more or less the same phone but with a redesigned back and bigger battery.

Infinix Smart 5 Pro has simplified the camera housing and added duo-tone accents to the shell. The capacitive fingerprint scanner is located next to the camera island (which now holds two lenses and an LED flash cluster.) The redesign is cleaner, more balanced, and comes in Morandi Green, Heart of Ocean, Beige, and Black colors.

But the obvious upgrade is the longer battery life. Infinix Smart 5 Pro packs a 6000 mAh cell (compared to the 5000 mAh inside the baseline mode.) You’re promised an unbeatable 88 days on standby and 18 hours of gaming out of a single charge.

The battery health is also advertised to be 60% better. But no fast charging support means the new Pro Infinix model will take longer to charge. Expect underwhelming GPU and camera performance out of the obscure, unnamed Unisoc chip at the heart of Smart 5 Pro. It’s clocked at 1.6GHz and built on a 28nm process node.

Android 11 Go Edition, designed for older, low-end hardware, powers the phone. But Infinix’s XOS 7.6 UI runs on top. You get 2GB of memory and 32GB of expandable storage.

The screen is a 6.52” TFT panel, not IPS. It delivers a 720P resolution, poor viewing angles, and 500 nits of brightness. Infinix has embedded an 8MP camera in this display’s notch. The rear camera is 13MP with an f/1.8 lens. Infinix Smart 5 Pro starts at an ultra-budget price of Rs. 15,999.
