Infinix Smart 4 Plus Unveiled with a Huge Display and Battery, Might Land in Pakistan Soon

Infinix has been introducing more and more budget picks with uncharacteristically large displays and batteries lately — the Infinix Hot 9 Play and the Note 7, to name a few. And keeping this train going, The brand unveiled the sequel to last year’s Smart 3 Plus yesterday: the Smart 4 Plus. While it falls into the entry-level bracket at an affordable Infinix price, its one of a kind feature set helps it stands out in the endless ocean of Chinese budget models.

As touched on above, the display and the battery are the highlights of the new Infinix Smart 4 Plus smartphone, so let’s kick things off with those. You’re looking at an HD+ front panel that extends a whopping 6.82” across, producing an even taller aspect ratio of 20.5:9.

With almost an edge to edge display with 90.5% screen-to-body ratio, Its top bezel morphs into a notch to house the phone’s 8MP selfie camera — augmented further with a dual-LED flash.

The Smart 4 Plus shell has a fractal pattern. It’s polished, chamfered, and painted in a gradient style, available in Midnight Black, Ocean Wave, and Violet editions. The camera island and a fingerprint reader rest on the top half. Bound inside the island is a dual camera: a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, combined with three LED flashes.

Pop the metaphorical hood of the Infinix Smart 4 Plus to find a MediaTek Helio A25 processor handling number-crunching behind the scenes, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage. The battery has a hulking 6,000 mAh capacity, but no support for fast charging. It charges over a standard 10W micro-USB port and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Smart 4 Plus starts from $107 (~18,000 PKR). Infinix is first rolling out the phone in India on July 28, and its next stop should be Pakistan, going by Infinix’s typical release schedule.
