Infinix is back in action, preparing its next affordable handset, the Infinix Smart 10. Courtesy of tipster Paras Guglani, the early details have surfaced on the web already, pointing to some modest changes in the Smart series. Expect small performance tweaks, a redesigned back, and just enough upgrades to keep the entry-level line moving forward.
Infinix Smart 10 is yet another device that uses a Unisoc T7250 chip this year. If you aren’t familiar with it, this new SoC has 8 cores and provides the phone with up to 1.8GHz clock speed. It’s almost the same as the Helio G81 used for the Infinix Smart 9 last year, but we will see an upgraded Mali G57 MP1 GPU with the successor.
This new processor is hooked up to 6 GB RAM, which is virtually expandable by up to 3 GB on Infinix Smart 10. The screen used by this handset also seems run-of-the-mill with 6.67” IPS technology and HD+ (720p) resolution. Its only saving grace might be the 120Hz refresh rate.
The front of this device seems untouched, but they did change its rear design ever so slightly. The lenses are squarish, probably inspired by one of the devices in the Hot 50 clan, which is also featured in the latest Infinix price list. The rest of the device is flat, minimal, and surprisingly decent to look at.
With the renders leaked already, we expect there to be at least four color options. Their marketing names remain elusive, but the basic colors are violet, black, white, and gold. The leak not only came with renders but also gave away the camera specs.
We are looking at a basic 8 MP camera on the back, which is a downgrade from Smart 9’s 13 MP main sensor. There will be a second lens, likely to assist, and a third sensor on the front for selfies, with no mention of its resolution yet. Those details might come out in one of the future leaks.
The power specs are also modest on the upcoming Infinix Smart 10. There’s a standard 5000mAh battery inside the phone, and users should be able to recharge it with a 10W or 15W adapter. Its price is also expected to remain the same in most regions within the $150 range.
