Infinix Note 60 Pro was unveiled globally in February, and it also showed up in Pakistan a month later. It’s still quite popular among locals. Now they are working on the Infinix Note 70 Pro that’s supposed to carry over the existing internals, but upgrade the battery size. EEC cleared the Infinix Note 70 Pro for Europe today.
Eurasian Economic Commission updated its public database last night with a new entry: X6766. That model number happens to be associated with the moniker “Infinix Note 70 Pro.” We had seen that code earlier, but now EEC has revealed its official name.
EEC certification doesn’t uncover much about the phone’s hardware, but it did leave us a useful clue. The model X6766 is officially declared to be the Infinix Note 70 Pro, and we can now go back to the older GSMA IMEI and DevCheck hardware listings for specs. Looking for the latest prices? The same model number was listed on the IMEI database in August, and later the model code was found on the DevCheck hardware. That’s how we know that the Note 70 Pro is about to reuse the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip and a 6.78” screen.
This will be an AMOLED again at a 144Hz refresh rate, and of course, you’ll have 1.5K resolution. They’ve put a 50MP main shooter on the back with OIS and PDAF. The RAM’s probably 8GB, and the storage should be 256GB (base).
There’s not a single upgrade in those categories. But we have one major change. The battery is now 500mAh bigger. Infinix Note 70 Pro will carry a 7000mAh pack (vs. the Note 60’s 6500mAh). They might switch up the design while they are at it.
EEC clears most devices close to launch, sometimes months earlier and even weeks. So we are hoping to see the Note 70 Pro on store shelves soon. The Note 60 series left the factory in February, which means the Note 70 should launch in the same window next year. Keep watching the news for more updates.
