The budget Hot 12 series from Infinix features two recent models: the Infinix Hot 12 and Hot 12 Play. And the lineup was just expanded with a Pro edition. The Hot 12 Pro features an improved multitasking experience; they are calling it the ProMultitasker. The entry-level dropped in India yesterday and should be headed to Pakistan next.
Infinix has shaved off the bezels on the Infinix Hot 12 Pro, leaving it with a better screen-to-body ratio than the base Infinix Hot 12. It comes in two colorways, Electric Blue and Lightsaber Green. The edges are flat, the camera housing is minimalist, and the display contains a notch. There’s no camera bump on this model — only a glossy accent. Instead, the cameras stick directly out of the shell, right next to an instant back-facing fingerprint scanner.
But the highlight of the Hot 12 Pro is its 8GB of RAM, rounded with 3GB of virtually extended memory. You can pick from 64GB and 128GB storage options, but the 64GB variant is capped with 6GB of memory. Both storage variants use the UFS 2.2 standard.
Infinix Hot 12 Pro is powered by the Unisoc T616 chip. It packs a 1.8 GHz octa-core CPU built on 12 nm architecture, while Mali-G57 MP1 processes the graphics. And a 5000 mAh battery with 18W charging support delivers all-day battery life and quick charging.
The display on the Hot 12 Pro is a 6.6-inch IPS panel. It’s a mediocre HD+ screen, but Infinix has paired it with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Like the brand's other Hot models, Infinix phone prices for both variants are pocket-friendly.
Infinix Hot 12 Pro offers a dual AI camera setup: a 50 MP primary lens and a depth sensor for portraits. An 8MP sensor sits behind the front lens that has a dual-led flash. The AI powering the cameras promises better image processing this year.
The phone runs on Android 12 x XOS 10 UI. And DTS-HD audio processing baked into the UI can mimic a fuller, more surround-like sound experience. Infinix Hot 12 Pro will start from $139.7 (~ PKR 33,500.) The 8GB+128GB is priced at $152.3 (~ PKR 36,500).
