The Infinix GT 30 Pro showed up on the Geekbench database recently, letting everyone know that it’s in development. Now, the company has officially announced the phone’s release date and key specs through its ad campaign. This gaming smartphone will debut in Malaysia on May 21 at 3 PM local time (7 AM UTC).
From what we’ve gathered, the GT 30 Pro won’t be launching alone, as Infinix also plans to unveil the XPad GT gaming tablet and GT Buds as part of a massive product release. The event will be live-streamed on the company’s Malaysian Facebook page and the official TikTok channel.
New teasers are surfacing almost every other day now. Thanks to that, we already know how this newcomer looks and what it offers. Some key details we found in the teasers: the GT 30 Pro has a gaming phone design with RGB elements and Mech aesthetics, just like its predecessor.
As rumors pointed out earlier, the latest Infinix GT mobile does include shoulder triggers this time, making it a proper rival to flagship gaming phones from Asus ROG, Black Shark, and Nubia RedMagic. It has already been confirmed that this particular device can do 144Hz, so the gaming experience should be smooth.
To handle the AMOLED 144Hz display, the company will be mounting a Dimensity 8350 chip inside the GT 30 Pro. This is a 4nm platform with a 3.35 GHz clock speed and an Immortalis Mali-G615 MP6 GPU for gaming. It even brings the top-of-the-line LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
As always, the teasers provide limited info to maintain intrigue, but the rumor pointed out some other details just before the launch. According to reports, this phone has a 5500mAh battery, which is considered average by today’s standards, and up to 67W fast charging.
Since the Note 50 series already unveiled the XOS 15 x Android 15, you can count on the Infinix GT 30 to do the same, but the UI and features will be tuned for gaming. The Main camera on this device might be 108MP. As credible as they look, these numbers haven’t been confirmed by the company yet. Hopefully, Infinix will reveal the rest of GT 30 Pro’s specifications by the time of launch, so stay tuned for further updates.
