Honor X8b Goes Official; Stunning 90Hz AMOLED, Snapdragon 680, and 108MP Camera

Honor ups its mid-range game by introducing the Honor X8b in Saudi Arabia, an upgraded version of the previously released Honor X8. Packed with notable improvements, the X8b boasts a 90Hz AMOLED display, a powerhouse Snapdragon 680 chipset, and a camera setup that will surely turn heads. Let’s dive into its details. 


The X8b features a vibrant 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with an  FHD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. The display sports a 90Hz refresh rate, 3240Hz PWM dimming, and can reach a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. A pill-shaped cutout houses a 50MP jaw-dropping selfie camera alongside a soft LED flash.

On the rear, the X8b shines with a formidable imaging setup, headlined by a 108MP primary camera. A 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro shooter support this powerhouse in addition to the alpha lens, ensuring versatile photography.


Running on Android 14 and Magic OS 7.2 UI, the Honor new 4G mobile encompasses the Magic Capsule notification center for added convenience. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 680 chipset powers the X8b, while a 4,500mAh battery keeps things running. Quick top-ups are its specialty, with a 35W fast charging feature.


Honor X8b offers multiple configurations, including 8GB + 128GB storage, 8GB + 256GB storage, and 8GB + 512GB storage. Connectivity options entail dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0G, GPS, and a USB-C port. Additionally, the device features a side-facing fingerprint sensor for security.

It’s going out with Midnight Black, Titanium Silver, and Glamorous Green colorways, starting at a competitive price of $240 (~PKR 67,500) in Saudi Arabia. As for its global availability, details are yet to unravel. Stay tuned for more updates as the device reaches more shores.
