Honor Play 8T Pro Specs Outlined on TENAA; Unveiling Soon in China

Just when we thought Honor was taking a breather after putting on a show for Honor Play 8 in July, they're gearing up to stun with the “Play 8T” series. Fresh from the Chinese TENAA intel hub, the Honor Play 8T Pro specs have spilled, and here are all the juicy tidbits.

Pitched as Honor's latest mid-tier device, the 8T Pro is flaunting a 6.7-inch IPS LCD, delivering Full HD+ visuals, speeding at a 90Hz tempo (mirroring specs to older sibling, the Honor Play 7T Pro). Dive deeper to find an octa-core engine under the hood revving at 2.4GHz.

But what's grabbing headlines? The device has an extensive roster of RAM and storage duos: from 6GB/128GB to a whopping 16GB/1TB. That is a surprising twist since the 8T Pro is being hailed as an entry-level device.

Flick the Honor budget new model around, and a dual-cam assembly awaits with a headline-stealing 108MP primary lens and a 2MP sidekick. And for those virtual chit-chats or glam shots, an 8MP front-snapper has you covered.

The TENAA dossier flags a 4500mAh power reservoir with a 35W fast-fill feature. But there’s a slight twist in the plot here, as Honor has juiced up the battery capacity but dialed down the charging speed, especially when stacked against the 7T Pro's 4000mAh and 40W ensemble.

Software-wise, the 8T Pro has Android 13 with the Magic OS 7.2 overlay. Chinese tech fans should mark their calendars, as this gadgetry goodness drops later this month.

Whispers in the circuit hint at the 8T Pro being a revamped avatar of a previous Honor handset. Recall the Honor Play 7T Pro, a spitting image of July 2022's Honor X40i. The oncoming handset will likely follow tradition. Stay wired for more.
