Honor continues to expand its Play 40 series, and the new Honor Play 40S is the latest to join the pack. Following the earlier releases of the Play 40 5G and the Play 40C, this latest addition boasts a sizable battery and draws power from the novelty Snapdragon 480 Plus SoC. Let's dive into the details.


The Honor Play 40S features a slim 8.35mm chassis. Despite packing a substantial battery, the phone weighs a manageable 188g. Its 6.56-inch TFT LCD screen delivers an HD+ 720 x 1612 pixels resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, promising vibrant visuals and seamless scrolling.

Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Plus processor drives the device's performance. With 4GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM, the Play 40S boasts efficient multitasking and fast media storage. The primary rear camera, bearing a 13-megapixel lens with an f/1.8 aperture, captures picture-perfect moments, while the 8-megapixel front camera handles selfies.


Fueling the device is a robust 5200mAh battery, ensuring prolonged usage without frequent recharging. The Honor latest Play model offers versatile network connectivity options, including 5G, 4G, and 3G (depending on the network provider). Additional connectivity features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.

Priced at 999 Yuan (~$137/PKR 40,500) in the Chinese market, the Honor Play 40S is available in Midnight Black and Green color variants. This latest addition to the Play 40 series continues Honor's tradition of delivering affordable yet capable smartphones to cater to diverse user needs.
