The next Galaxy Unpacked is just a few days away, and we expect the launch of at least three folding devices during the event. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is definitely one of them. Samsung is trying its best not to let the information slip, but the relentless leak hunters have somehow managed to find its design through live images. Have a look.
Jukan Choi (@Jukanloverse) is the one who leaked the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s real-life photos over on X. He is known for his accurate predictions and insights into the chipset industry, which is why the internet is taking notice of his latest tweet.
This seems to be the Blue Shadow color option, the one we’ve been hearing about in reports for some time now. Paint job aside, we don’t see any significant changes or improvements in the design. It has the same boxy shape and flat edges as the older Galaxy Z Fold 6.
There’s a minuscule change in the Samsung latest Fold model’s camera design, but it’s purely aesthetic. The older version had black camera rings, and it helped the Fold series align with the S25 Ultra. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has fallen back to the traditional silver camera ring design.
One of the images will show you the side profile of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and it looks incredibly thin in an open state. As you can see, it barely manages to fit a SIM tray on the chassis. We heard in the leaks that the Fold 7 might have the thinnest design yet, around 8.9mm (folded).
We couldn’t get a better look at the display due to a protective film on it. But we assume it’s an 8” display with a better hinge mechanism for a seemingly unnoticeable crease. There’s no battery improvement of any kind on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. It’s still the same 4400mAh battery with 25W charging.
There is a Snapdragon 8 Elite inside this phone, no doubt. And the industry watchers predict an Android 16 x One UI 8 running on this device by default. Samsung’s bulky design for its foldable devices was the only real complaint fans had. But the new fit for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has given us something exciting to look forward to.
