There’s a cheaper Vivo S60 Vitality Edition phone in the series this time, and it’s the first device in the world with the Dimensity 7500 SoC. Today, the Geekbench scores are in for this particular chipset, and the scores are quite decent for something that’s targeting midrange phones.
Again, this chip was tested on the Vivo S60 Vitality, and the phone’s cooling could be a factor in these results. But it does reveal the true power of this chip when sufficient cooling is applied. Anyway, the chip was tested on Geekbench with 12GB RAM at a 2.6 GHz boost clock.
We have the single core hitting 1243 points average on the benchmark version 6.7.1. And the multicore test run averages 3569 points. These numbers are pretty close to the Exynos 1580 that was used last year on the Galaxy A56. But there might be some discrepancy in the results if you test the phone on a different benchmark version. Check out this quick breakdown of the Vivo smartphone Prices with specs currently available in Pakistan.
In our experience, the newer the Geekbench version, the more lenient it is with results. Be that as it may, the results still show 24% and 21% gains in single and multicore tests when put against the older Dimensity 7400 (Redmi Note 15 Pro). That’s a huge, praise-worthy jump in performance.
This is just the CPU test, though. Of course, there is more to Dimensity 7500 than just central processing. We have a new Mali-G625 GPU here. There’s also a new MediaTek NPU 850 NPU here. That’s the engine for neural AI processing. And all the phones that have this chip will carry LPDDR5 6400 Mbps RAM.
The storage speeds are still UFS 3.1. But the chipset maker is adamant that the app switching speeds are 30% faster on the Dimensity 7500, and game loading speed, which typically depends on the storage speed itself, is bumped by 19%. D7500’s exact price for manufacturers is unknown, but we do know that the Vivo S60 Vitality costs 2,899 yuan (~PKR 119,000).
That means this new chip didn’t spike the phone’s cost. This is exactly what you would expect a phone like this to cost, which is a relief. The S60 series could land in Pakistan later on as the Vivo V80 lineup. We are counting the days. Keep watching the news for more updates.
