Apple iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Pro Surface in a Credible Leak with Specs

Apple is developing a foldable device, and its design is already out there. We were waiting for the iPhone Fold’s specs, and finally, some of them have leaked. The report also talks about the iPhone 18 Pro lineup and its potential upgrades. Here’s what we found.

The details come from the analyst Jeff Pu of GF Securities, and he has listed the Fold’s specs in his investor note. He had more accurate screen sizes to report for this newcomer. This foldable also has two screens like the others, so Apple isn’t actually building something unique here.

We found in the investor note that iPhone Fold’s inner screen is actually a 7.8” panel, bigger than the size claimed in other leaks. And the cover/outer screen is smaller at 5.3”. But we still stand by one thing that was previously said: the iPhone Fold has the same size format as the original Google Pixel Fold. As of January 2026, more information about the specs and Apple iPhone latest prices can be found here.

Anyway, Jeff Pu also said that the Apple A20 Pro chip is pulling the load on the iPhone Fold. There’s also an Apple N2 dedicated connectivity chip, and possibly a self-made 5G modem (Apple C2). They obviously have to rely on Touch ID (side-fingerprint), which is the conventional route for foldables.

There’s also going to be 12GB LPDDR5 memory on the iPhone Fold. The camera setup you see on its rear Pixel-like camera plateau is made of 48MP dual sensors. Then comes an 18MP sensor underneath the selfie punch hole. That’s the same for cover and inner screens.

They aren’t leaving the Apple iPhone 18 Pro lineup with no upgrades. These are details you may have heard already in a leak somewhere. Jeff Pu validates old reports again. The 18 Pro and Pro Max have Apple A20 Pro silicon and the C2 modem.

They both have that dedicated new N1 chip. 12GB of LPDDR5 memory is here. And the analyst notes an 18MP selfie camera on these handsets (same as before). No upgrades can be found in the rear camera setup either. All three sensors will be 48MP. iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will hide the Face ID from their 6.3” and 6.9” screens.
