Last week, Xiaomi Redmi teased its latest Note 12 series launch outside China without revealing the date. For consecutive days, the prompted banner kept a vague statement saying, “Coming Soon.” Four devices are in line for debut; Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Explorer.

In the latest break, the chain formally announced the launch date for its Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. In the tweet shared yesterday, the giant gave away the launch date and teaser for the phone. According to that post, the upcoming Note 12 Pro Plus will debut globally on 5th January 2023.

The shared marketing image reveals a 200MP camera on the phone, which we’ve all learned is Samsung’s ISOCELL sensor. The tweet redirects to the dedicated microsite for Note 12 Pro+ on Xiaomi’s official link.

As reported earlier, The manufacturer will host a dedicated keynote for the Xiaomi new Pro model’s release. SuperNote event, as they are calling it, will happen on 5th January. While the chain’s trying to stir mystery on the web, we already know the phone’s specifications since it’s currently on retail in China.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus has an OLED panel spanning 6.67 inches, with FHD+ res and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone bears an all-new Dimensity 1080 Chip maxed out at a neat 2.6GHz clock speed. There’s a 16MP snapper upfront, and under the hood, it has a 5000mAh battery.

It highlights a 200MP ISOCELL HPX OIS-primary camera with a whopping 1/1.4 aperture radius, 120W fast charging, and 1920Hz PWM dimming. It includes two 8+2MP auxiliary lenses on the back. The Pro Plus bore two storage variants in China, 8+256 and 12+256. The same could be true for global release. The Pro+ from the last year didn't make it to Pakistan but the other two did.
