Poco C85 4G made it to the global market quite a while ago, in September. There were some suspicions that a 5G model would tag along soon, and after a small teaser spree, they’ve finally unveiled the Poco C85 5G. This is not a completely renewed model, but it’s definitely way snappier than the 4G version.
The major change is obviously the chipset. They threw out the Helio G81 Ultra and gave the newcomer a 6nm Dimensity 6300, which is faster in every metric. Its CPU is 2.4 GHz, and its GPU is MALI G57 MP2. That new chip also bumps the storage speed to UFS 2.2. This 5G upgrade comes with a performance boost.
There are little to no upgrades in the rest of the spec sheet. Identical to the 4G version, the Poco C85 5G brings us a 6000mAh cell. It’s backed by 33W charging, and your smaller accessories can pull 10W from the phone’s reverse charging mode. You don’t have to lug around chargers everywhere.
Also, the Xiaomi Poco new model 810 nits of brightness on a 6.9” IPS display. This massive front panel is one of its signature traits, and there’s also a 120Hz refresh rate here that makes it even more special. You may need to compromise on the visual fidelity, though, since it’s only an HD+ 720p screen.
Poco C85 5G doesn’t have the most impressive camera hardware, either. The images taken from its 50MP Main unit are still serviceable, though. The selfie shooter is positioned in a mini waterdrop notch on the screen with an 8MP sensor. You can take 1080p 30FPS videos on either side.
It’s stuck with Android 15 Hyper OS 2.2 right now. You may get two major updates with this newcomer; one will be wasted bringing it to Android 16. There’s a side fingerprint ID here. Only a mono speaker is added to the bottom.
The newcomer does have an IP64 rating for water safety. The Bluetooth is v5.4 with Dual-Band WiFi on a single network chip. The starter storage option has 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and the price is just right: International ~$133 or ~PKR 37,000.
